The stars of the new Sex and the City- Cashmere Mafia
Darren Starr, who produced Sex in the City based on the novel by Candace Bushnell is producing a new show called Cashmere mafia starring (from left to right) Bonnie Somerville, Miranda Otto, Francis O'Connor and Lucy Liu. The problem is that Bushnell has her own show coming out on NBC called Lipstick Jungle starring Brooke Shields. Both shows will probably be bad derivatives- and any show starring Brooke Shields is bound to be bad (Suddenly Susan). We'll just have to wait and see but we don't have our hopes up.

On preparing for her role in “No Reservations”: “It was like going to school for the first day when I arrived in that kitchen,” she said, also calling the experience, “terrifying.”
On being a waitress: “It was a very interesting lesson how people don’t make eye contact sometimes with the server. It took a while until somebody said to me, ‘Has anyone ever told you you look like that actress, Catherine Zeta-Jones?’” She would respond, ““Yeah, I get that all the time.”
On how she related to her character in the movie: “I can equate some of her characteristics. Not that I’m as completely compulsive and a perfectionist the way she is in the kitchen. Her life revolves around the kitchen and she’s a perfectionist and she’s in control in the kitchen. [But] when I was single without any kids, I used to do that with my career in a way. Not to the extent my character does in the movie. But I did nothing else. If somebody said, ‘Do you want to go to China? There’s a movie.’ I’d say, ‘What flight? Pack my bag.’ ”
On the beauty of cooking: “I was there in a working kitchen. It just fascinated me how everything moved so beautifully and fluidly. If you took the sound out, the clanking of the pans and the sizzling of the pans, it was like a ballet — the way they moved, no one was bumping into each other.”

Country star Mindy McCready has been busted again. This time for violating her probation. McCready had been charged with battery and resisting arrest when she allegedly scratched her mother's face during a fracas at the family home in Fort Myers. (The sheriff's office photo, from her arrest on July 21, shows a scratch on her nose.)
The Bourne Ultimatum premieres in LA
Matt Damon's latest brought all the stars. And we must repeat, though his wife Luciana is cute, we still don't understand how a single mother who was a bartender snagged someone as amazing as Matt Damon. It just befuddles us. Anyway, best pal Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, and Ellen Pompeo also showed up, as did co-star Julia Stiles (what is she wearing?!).
Minnie's looking summer sexy!
Minnie Driver, cruising the streets of NYC, looks super cute. Driver has recently released an album which is actually not getting terrible reviews. We've heard her perform once and it wasn't very good. Regardless, we don't have any beef with Minnie.

We're on the fence about CZJ
Catherine Zeta Jones, here at the premiere of No Reservations with Aaron Eckhart, is obviously beautiful. Yet she always looks and dresses like an old woman (yes, we know she lies about her age, that doesn't help things). Even in this red number, she looks gorgeous, but at the same time kinda dated... Is it just us?

Ali Lohan speaks out
This actually makes us sad that Ali Lohan, Lindsay's 13-year-old little sis, is being dragged into this mess. Ali released the following message to 24/Sizzler:
“Hi david this is ali lohan, i want everybody to know the truth out there. My mom is a single mom of four children she has always been there for us, she was my mother and father and still is. My father is telling all lies to people and saying he was such a great dad and was always there for us, my father was never there for us, My mom was always there souporting us. i think that the whole reason why my sister is upset with her self and not as cofident, is because of my dad not being around, and always staying out late and not coming home for days, he would come back home never himself, he was always was making excuses for his bad behavior . And would always blame my mother. He just wants everybody in the world knowing that he was a great dad. He wasnt that is all a lie. I just want my sister to stick throught this okay, and my mother and brothers and i are there for my sister 100% and have always been. I’ve wanted to say this for so long and get this out there and let everyone know that our family is like a normal family but of course we are put under a microscope because of lindsays fame, lindsay will be fine she is just going through a rough time right now but she will be fine. i know this for a fact. My sisters is just like a normal sister. her and I have so much in common.
