Simon Cowell is never boring. He recently stated, "Jennifer Hudson said American Idol was a 'stepping stone' for her. Stepping stone? It was her big opportunity to become noticed and she got noticed and she got Dreamgirls," Cowell said, mentioning other past contestants "deliberately turn against the show that made them successful. The reason (people) come on the show is because all the doors had been slammed in their face." As for Taylor Hicks, "They (Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson) loved him. I couldn't stand him. I didn't get it," Cowell said, adding that "at the end of the day you have to find a bona fide recording artist. Just because you win the show doesn't mean you will sell a lot of records. Chris (Daughtry) is the one who sold the albums, not Taylor."
Kelis was arrested early this morning in Miami after screaming racial slurs at undercover cops posing as hookers. She went off at the mouth and started to run toward the two cops. Friends had to apparently hold her back. What? very weird.
Katherine Heigl released a statementy yesterday addressing her contract dispute issues.
"I am embarrassed that this has become a public matter and disappointed that Touchstone felt it necessary to divulge private employment information. I had hoped I would be able to deal with this issue confidentially with my bosses. I dropped out of the renegotiation simply because I wanted to treat myself with the respect I was not getting from them. No matter how unhappy I am about their decision to respond to this publicly, I continue to be passionate about and committed to this character."
Kate Moss and Pete Doherty have looked better (and worse). Here they are at the Shockwaves NME Awards 2007 at London's Hammersmith Palais on Thursday. We don't know what this awards show is or how they got nominated.
After causing a scene by leaving Stella McCartney's fashion show after only a few minutes yesterday (and these things are only 15 minutes or so long), Jessica Biel shows she can stick it out by enduring the entire Chanel fashion show in Paris.
Vietnamese adoption agencies have confirmed that Angelina Jolie has filed adoption papers. Jolie, 31, and Brad Pitt, 43, are already parents to son Maddox, 5, and daughters Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 9 months. It sounds like these two weren't kidding when they said they wanted like ten kids.
